KKINSLY

Kinsly Guardian

A second opinion when something feels wrong.

Guardian reviews suspicious messages, links, screenshots and payment requests before you act. You choose what to send. Guardian explains what it found in plain language and tells you what to do next.

$14.99/month per Supported Member · includes everything in Connect

Guardian is user-initiated. It reviews only what you deliberately submit. It is not continuous monitoring of your screen, inbox or messages, and it is not a guarantee of safety.

What you can send

  • Screenshots and photos

One to five images, JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB each. A photo of a text message or a screenshot of a web page both work.

  • Pasted or typed text

Up to 10,000 characters — the message itself, or your own description of what you were asked to do.

  • Links

Up to ten links. Kinsly normalises them server-side and never opens them on your behalf.

  • Optional context

How it reached you (SMS, email, social, web, phone), who it claims to be from, and what you were asked to do.

How Guardian reviews a check

  1. 01

    We read what you sent

Guardian gathers the words, screenshots and links you chose to send — nothing else.

  2. 02

    We look for warning signs

It looks for things such as urgency and pressure, someone pretending to be a person or company you know, unusual payment or gift-card requests, and wording that is common in scams.

  3. 03

    We check the links

Any links you sent are compared with lists of known online threats, when that service is available. Guardian never opens or visits a link for you.

  4. 04

    We consider the whole situation

Guardian reviews the material you sent together with the context you gave — how it reached you, who it claims to be from, and what you were asked to do.

  5. 05

    We explain what we found

You get a clear level of concern, the reasons behind it, and practical next steps in plain language.

Guardian only reviews what you deliberately send. If part of a check cannot run, Guardian says so and lowers its evidence confidence instead of guessing. A result is decision support — not a guarantee that something is safe or a scam.

View technical details
  1. Your submission is checked against the limits above and queued.
  2. Text is extracted from any images you sent (Google Cloud Vision, with a Lovable AI multimodal fallback when Vision is not connected).
  3. Deterministic heuristics look for patterns common to scams — urgency, payment demands, secrecy, impersonation, credential and remote-access requests.
  4. Submitted links are normalised server-side and checked for reputation with the Google Web Risk Lookup API, when that provider is available. Links are never opened.
  5. A multimodal AI model reviews the images and text together and proposes indicators; it can raise concern but can never certify safety.
  6. The signals are combined by a deterministic rule set — not by the model alone — into a risk band and an evidence-confidence rating.
  7. You get a written explanation of what was seen, what it means, and what to do next. If a stage could not run, Guardian names it and lowers evidence confidence rather than guessing.

What a result can and can't tell you

  • Guardian is decision support. It is not a guarantee that something is safe, and it is not a guarantee that something is a scam.
  • A low-risk result means Guardian found no strong concerns in what you sent — not that the message is safe.
  • Guardian only ever looks at what you deliberately submit. It does not read your inbox, your messages or your screen.
  • If a provider is unavailable, Guardian tells you which stage was skipped and rates its evidence confidence lower, rather than guessing.

Privacy, sharing and deletion

  • Evidence is stored privately. Images are never made public; they are served to you through short-lived signed links.
  • Raw evidence is never written into logs, analytics, error messages or Timeline descriptions.
  • A Guardian check is private to you until you explicitly share it with a Trusted Contact. Sharing is revocable at any time.
  • You can delete a Guardian check and its evidence from your Timeline.

100 Guardian checks each month

Guardian includes 100 submitted checks per calendar month. Your allowance resets at the start of the next calendar month (UTC), and the app always shows how many you have used. Guardian also includes everything in Connect and the complete searchable, filterable Timeline — Connect keeps your five most recent Support Sessions.
