How Guided Assistance works

  1. 01

    Ask for help

    The Supported Member presses one button in the Kinsly app for Mac or Windows. Their verified Trusted Contacts receive the request and can respond.

  2. 02

    Approve the Support Session

    Nothing is shared until the Supported Member approves the session and chooses what to share. The Trusted Contact joins from the Kinsly app or a supported desktop browser.

  3. 03

    Guide, don't take over

    The Trusted Contact talks, highlights, points, circles and draws on the shared screen. They never control the mouse or keyboard.

  4. 04

    Stay in control throughout

    Privacy Mode hides the screen instantly while the voice call keeps going. Either person can end the session at any moment.

  5. 05

    Look back afterwards

    Connect keeps your five most recent Support Sessions with a summary, follow-up actions, and the option to turn what worked into a Saved Fix.

The consent model

The person being helped stays in control at every step. These are not settings to switch on later.

  • A Trusted Contact must be invited and verified before they can ever be reached.
  • Screen sharing starts only after the Supported Member approves that specific Support Session.
  • Privacy Mode is always one tap away and does not end the call.
  • Only the two participants of a Support Session can see its record.
  • Support Sessions are not video-recorded today. Session Safeguard recording is a future feature.
